On Friday, November 17th, during Palm Institute’s 6th Matriculation Ceremony, 25 freshmen were formally welcomed into Palm Institute to pursue various diploma programs.
In his speech, Dr. Peter Carlos Okantey used the occasion to reiterate the inspiration behind the Palm story, emphasized the need contribute to society and to work hard to gain the necessary knowledge and practical skills to succeed after school.
Deborah Ama-Atta, a newly welcomed student, expressed her excitement and readiness to make Palm Institute proud. She also used the opportunity to call on all stakeholders to support the Brick Campaign that is helping with the construction of the permanent campus in Manya Jorpanya, near Shai Hills in the Greater Accra Region.
Palm Institute began in 2014 with 11 students and graduated 19 students in October 2016. The Institute will hold its second graduation on December 16th, 2017. Palm Institute has seen steady and consistent growth over the past year. There has been growth in student enrollment, faculty and staff and in the number of programs Palm Institute offers.
