The New Business Challenge is a unique business case competition where Dutch and Ghanaian students and starters work together in mixed teams on solutions for companies. The challenge involved a 10-day study trip to the Netherlands where students got to meet experts and experience a different culture. This initiative was sponsored by the Dutch Embassy and organised by the Ghana Netherlands Business and Cultural Council.
Miss Justina Quaning Asomani, one of our beneficiaries and a student of Palm Institute Class of 2017 was part of the emerging winners for the New Business Challenge held on 3rd August, 2017 at Paloma Hotel, Accra. The teams presented their solutions to the company representatives and the Jury.
In all, three Palm Institute students were selected together with 17 other students from various universities in Ghana for the competition. Abu Braimah and Justina worked on the Cargil Case whilst Happy Aforkpah worked on Nile Dutch Case. Out of the three participants from Palm Institute, Justina Quaning Asomani emerged as one of the winners from the Cargil Team 2.
Her team’s solution was innovative, feasible, and had great impact. The program continued with a cocktail at the Dutch Ambassador’s residence in Cantonments where the winners were announced.
